Your British Craft Store chopping board is crafted from
high-quality wood and hand-finished to an exceptional standard. With proper
care, it will provide many years of reliable use while maintaining its natural
beauty.

To help preserve its appearance and extend its lifespan,
please follow these simple care instructions:

After each use, hand wash with warm
water and mild soap. Dry immediately and never soak the board or leave it
submerged in water, as this can cause swelling, splitting, and warping

Always wash both sides of the board,
even if only one side has been used.

After washing, stand the board
upright or on its edge to allow both sides to dry evenly.

Wood naturally absorbs and releases
moisture. If one side becomes wetter or dries more quickly than the other, the
board may warp or cup. Allowing both sides to dry evenly helps minimise this.

Once the board is completely dry,
apply a food-safe mineral oil or chopping board oil regularly—ideally after
every wash. This helps prevent the wood from drying out, cracking, and losing
its finish. We recommend Furniture Clinic Cutting Board Oil.

When storing the board, keep it
upright or in a position that allows air to circulate freely around both sides.

Never place the board in a dishwasher
or expose it to prolonged soaking, harsh chemicals, or extreme heat.

As wood is a natural material, each board has its own unique
grain and character. With proper care, your board will provide many years of
dependable service while retaining its natural beauty.
